    Thermax receives an order of Rs 415 crore

    Thermax Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has received an order of Rs 415 crore, from a leading steel making Company, for setting up a captive power plant for their upcoming Blast Furnace Complex on an EPC basis. The captive power plant will use the waste gas from the furnace to produce power.

    This order is a part of the 4.2 MTPA Steel capacity expansion of the customer. Thermax scope includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of captive power plant with blast furnace gas fired boilers, steam turbine generators and balance of plant.

    Sanra Software launches new 5000 Sq.Ft. Animation Studio

    Sanra Software Ltd has informed BSE that the Company hosted a press meet on July 15, 2008 and the gist of the above meet is as follows:

    1. The Company has setup a New Animation Studio in Banglore.

    2. The Studio covers area of 5000 Sq.Ft. with state of art facilities.

    3. The Company proposes to increase its work force to around 500.

    4. The Company shall also focus on companies with strong IP creation base and also companies abroad with excellent marketing tie-ups.

    5. The Company also has plans to acquire some companies in Gaming Field in the next six months.

    6. The Company hopes to expand the service business to around 8 to 10 Million US $ in the next year.

    7. The Company expects to roll out two full length Animation Movies by 2009, one in 3D and another in 2D.

    8. The Company with its unique business model is currently recorded a turnover of around 13.5 crore for the year ended March 2008.

    9. The Company expects a CAGR of around 40% and looks at achieving a turnover of around 100 crores in the next 3-4 years.

    Ansal Properties planning for Hi-Tech cities

    Business Line: The investment in the project will be close to Rs 13,600 crore whereas the project turnover is about Rs 26,900 crore. The project will come up in phases, and the overall completion would happen by 2013,” Mr P.N. Misra, Executive Director - Business Development, Ansal API said.

    “HDFC Group has decided to pick up eight per cent stake in the project,” Mr Misra pointed out.

    He said the company had already procured over 300 acres of land.

    Maytas Properties now in IT SEZs

    Now Maytas Properties have plans for developing IT SEzs with the help of promoters of Satyam Computers. According to sources they have three IT SEzs in pipeline and total area that will be covered is around 148 acres. And the overall infrastructure will includes the IT infra, residential, retail and other facilities.

    The information we are getting is, they have plans in Bachupally, Mysammaguda and Gopanpally and all the SEzs are expected to be functional somewhere in 2010.

    GTL enters into “Global Supplier Co-operation Agreement” with Huawei

    GTL Ltd has informed BSE that the Company has entered into a “Global
    Supplier Co-operation Agreement” with Huawei for worldwide co-operation
    in Network Services space.

    With this, GTL, will partner Huawei
    in all its major bids across the world. As a part of this agreement
    Huawei will train GTL’s engineers on its various Technology platforms.
    This is the first of its king of arrangement that Huawei has entered
    into with any Network Service Provider.

    This is in addition to
    the similar arrangement that GTL has entered into with Ericcson earlier
    during the year. GTL continues to work with the major OEMS like
    Nokia-Siemens Netwokrs, Motorola, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent and others on
    various technology platforms across the world.

    Hindustan Construction bags Rs 340 Crore BOT Project from NHAI to construct Badrapur elevated six lane highway

    Hindustan Construction Company Ltd has informed BSE that the Company
    has bagged a prestigious order from National Highway Authority of India
    (NHAI), New Delhi, to construct the 4.4 km elevated six lane highway at
    Badrapur on National Highway 2 (Mathura Road) near Delhi on BOT basis.

    The
    contract envisages design, construction, development, finance,
    operation and maintenance of 4.4 kms of six lane elevated highway. The
    cost of the project is estimated at about Rs 340 crore. The Company has
    received the letter of award from NHAI for this project.

    The Concession Period is 20 years including Construction Period of 24 months.

    Larsen & Tourbo Bags 1557 Crore order from APPDCL

    Larsen & Toubro has just ainformed exchanges that they have bagged a huge 1557 drore order from APPDCL for 2 x 800 MW Steam Turbine Generator package and has called the first of its kind order for the company and for india. Currently stock is trading at very low level and the news has not impressed investors yet. Furthermore they are planning for 1:1 bonus in near future. One must buy and hold it for long term to achieve great benefit.

    Punh Lloyd buys Technodyne International

But today we have report that Punj Lloyd have acquired 74% stake in one of the UK based company named Technodyne International and with this news stock have reacted upward and is up 1% in today’s morning session.
